Larisa Neumann, Staff Nurse III on the Medical Surgical team, joined Outer Banks Health in November 2020. She is kind, helpful, caring, and conscientious. She takes the time to educate her patients on their treatments and diagnosis and utilizes her dementia friendly training by always having a calm, patient approach for anyone who may be experiencing confusion.

She is eager to learn new techniques and practices to ensure that she is always prepared and confident. By sharing her new skills and knowledge with her team, she helps to improve the quality and work of those around her. Neumann makes patient safety a top priority with her approach to care. She advocates for her patients to be sure that appropriate interventions are in place.

Regardless of her role for the shift, she is a true team player. She is constantly asking how she can help her teammates and peers around her. One team member shared “I always know that if I’m working with Larisa, it is going to be a good, smooth work shift.” Another shared “If I were to be a patient here, I would love to have someone with Larisa’s passion take care of me.”
