Community Benefit Grants Program
Letters of Intent Due Friday, December 6, 2024
The Outer Banks Health Development Council is accepting letters of intent for the Community Benefit Grants Program for projects that increase access to healthcare in the following areas:
- Healthy Living/Chronic Disease Prevention & Management
- Access to Care/Social Determinants of Health
- Older Adults, specifically focused on Dementia and Alzheimer’s
- Substance Abuse/Mental Health
- Transportation
Letters of intent are due on or before Friday, December 6 at 5 p.m. through electronic submission. To submit a letter of intent on behalf of your organization, visit https://www.ecuhealth.org/about-us/community/grant-programs/. Scroll down to the information on How to Receive Funding and click on the words online grant system. Once you are in the system, please make sure that you select the option for Outer Banks Health’s Community Benefit Grants Program. Only letters submitted through this online process will be accepted.
Grants will be awarded as part of the 2025-2026 Community Benefit Grants Program. The grant cycle is July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026. Funding is available for government entities or nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status in Dare County, in Currituck County and on Ocracoke Island. In 2024, $139,500 was awarded to twelve area nonprofits and agencies to help with Access to Healthcare projects.
